Szólád lies to south from Balatonszárszó, about 4 km away from the Balaton lake.

It is a nice little village between the slopes of Somogy Hills, with many interesting sightings.

Today's Protestant church was built in 1896. The building is in the middle of a small garden.
In front of the church the First World War and the Second World War memorials can be seen.

The Roman Catholic church was built between 1775-1782, in provincial Baroque style. The original equipment of the church, made around 1800 (the main altar, the side altars, pulpit and the organ case).

Between the Roman Catholic Church and the Reformed Church the Millenium park can be seen.

A little fishing lake can be found in the border of the village where there is an opportunity for relaxation in a calm conditions for fishing enthusiasts. The lake is open from spring to autumn.
