The promenade won the title "Somogyország Kincse - Treasure of Somogy" in 2014.

At the Festival Square István Bors's artwork, the "Fisher boy" welcomes the visitors.

If we walk across the square it will take us to the Kvassay Avenue, designed by Jenő Kvassay water engineer. This is one of the most spectacular paths of the south side, where you can walk down the shore as far as 1,2 km by the mansions built during the 1800's and the late 1900'

The sycamore trees were planted at the end of the 19th century.

One of the mansions found along the shore is Kálmán Kandó 's villa. He was a mechanical engineer, the pioneer of railway electrification (Rákóczi Rd. 3.). The Zrínyi and Garaboncziás Hotels can be found here as well, which were the first hotels in Balatonföldvár.
